North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce awarded a “Business Technical Assistance” Grant from Rhode Island Commerce

 

North Kingstown, RI-  The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce has been awarded a “Business Technical Assistance” grant from Rhode Island Commerce in support of small businesses. They will be  providing IT consultancy services, grant application assistance, and a “Live Local” campaign in support of small businesses.

 

Through Envision Technology Advisors, the Chamber is offering complimentary virtual one-hour virtual consultancy sessions for small businesses (under 50 employees) and weekly roundtable discussions for the next several weeks. The individual IT sessions include: General Technology, Web Presence, IT Security and Governance, Mobility and “Work from Anywhere”, Cloud Adoption, Collaboration Tools Consulting (teams vs. Zoom vs. everything else), Data Analysis, and File Share Consulting.

 

The virtual weekly roundtable discussions, “Leveraging Technology to Enable Business Change”, begins on November 19th at 4 pm. Structured as an open-forum conversation, the session will begin with a brief presentation to set the stage and then will open up to your questions about technology and process.

That change can be challenging, but it is absolutely attainable. This session will be a no-cost opportunity for businesses to learn more about how to use technology to their advantage, enable their employees, and thrive in a post-pandemic economy.” -said Todd Knapp, CEO of Envision Technology Advisors

In addition, the Chamber is offering compliance consulting in assisting businesses who are applying for State grants. The Chamber is also designing and executing a “Live Local” campaign featuring a series of videos spotlighting business adaptation stories with the kick-off date of November 23rd.

The Chamber was among $2M grants announced by Governor Raimondo and Rhode Island Commerce who are participating in the “Business Technical Assistance” initiative to extend technical assistance and training to businesses impacted by COVID-19.
