ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
will take place on Monday. Parade marchers will form at 9:00 am in
Wilson Park and the parade will start at 10:00 am. The parade route
will follow West Main Street to Brown and Phillips Streets and then
on to Tower Hill Road (Rte 1 South) to the Grand Army of the
Republic Memorial on the grounds of Elm Grove cemetery for the
concluding ceremonies, which are expected to begin at 11:00 a.m.
In addition, there will be a wreath laying ceremony to be conducted
by the waters of Wickford Harbor to remember those who perished at
sea during wartime. In case of inclement weather, a wreath laying
ceremony will still go forward at 11:00 am in Elm Grove Cemetery. |
