May 16th Newcomers & Neighbors Club of North Kingstown’s Annual Charity Fundraiser Please join us Friday evening from 6:00 to 10:00 at the Wickford Yacht Club, enjoy complimentary food and drinks while you peruse the Silent Auction tables. May 16th & 17th North Kingstown Senior Association will be holding its Annual Spring Plant Sale & Bazaar from 9-2 at the Cold Spring Community Center. Shop the Bazaar, there are always interesting items at every table along with a raffle. Lunch will be served. For more info call NK Senior Association 268-1590.

May 26th NK ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY PARADE will take place on Monday.  Parade marchers will form at 9:00 am in Wilson Park and the parade will start at 10:00 am.  The parade route will follow West Main Street to Brown and Phillips Streets and then on to Tower Hill Road (Rte 1 South) to the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial on the grounds of Elm Grove cemetery for the concluding ceremonies, which are expected to begin at 11:00 a.m.   In addition, there will be a wreath laying ceremony to be conducted by the waters of Wickford Harbor to remember those who perished at sea during wartime.  In case of inclement weather, a wreath laying ceremony will still go forward at 11:00 am in Elm Grove Cemetery.
